Walker Corporation has been responsible for some of Australia’s most unique and inspiring property developments, including the refurbishment of the Wharf at Woolloomooloo, King Street Wharf and Broadway Shopping Centre on the fringe of Sydney’s CBD, an integrated residential, retail and commercial precinct at Rhodes Waterside in Sydney’s East; Hope Island Resort on QLD’s Gold Coast; and over 110 industrial developments throughout NSW and QLD. Among the $8 billion of Walker projects currently underway around the globe, current and past retail developments include : Another integrated retail and commercial destination south-west of Melbourne. Stage 1 was launched in August 2008. The centre is home to retail giants Coles, Target and Aldi, and houses over 70 specialty stores. Construction of Stage 2 has commenced & is on track for completion late 2009. Stage 2 of the project will be anchored by Harris Scarfe, provide additional undercover car parking facilities and include over 40 specialty stores plus a 400+ seat food court. Furthermore, construction for the new $5.4million Point Cook Community Learning Centre is also well underway to the north of the Town Centre, located opposite Aldi. This new facility is one of the biggest projects ever undertaken in Wyndham and is supported by funding from both the State & Local Government. The new Community Centre replaces the Murnong Street facility, now outgrown by the ever expanding Point Cook population. Facilities at the Point Cook Community Learning Centre will include a 950 square metre Library; Civic Rooms; Community Learning Rooms; Occasional Care Facilities; Toy Library; Community Kitchen; Two Kindergarten rooms; and two Maternal and Child Health Consulting Rooms. ![]() Completed in 2004, Rhodes Shopping Centre is a 50,000 square metre commercial and retail development 15km from Sydney's CBD and home to the largest IKEA store in Australia, Reading Cinemas, Coles and BiLo, plus over 100 specialty stores. ![]() First opened in 1998 and extended in 2007, The Broadway Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Sydney's CBD, includes two major supermarkets, Coles and BiLo, KMart, Target, Rebel Sport, Dymocks Booksellers, Harvey Norman, Harris Farm Markets and over 150 specialty stores. Other entertainment features of the centre include a 500 seat Food Court and a 12 screen Hoyts cinema. ![]() |
